Are you an experienced and qualified electrician looking for an exciting opportunity in the growing electric vehicle (EV) industry? Mr Charger Slough is seeking a skilled EV Charger Installation Engineer to join our team, providing expert installation and maintenance services for domestic and commercial EV charging points.
As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable, and safe EV charging solutions to our clients. You’ll work across a range of locations, including Slough, Reading, Heathrow, Windsor, and surrounding areas, ensuring every project meets customer satisfaction and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of domestic and commercial EV charging points.
• Fault finding and diagnostics for EV charging systems.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, including BS7671 and 18th Edition regulations.
• Preparing, submitting, and maintaining detailed project documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service and support to clients during and after installations.
• Working collaboratively with the team and taking on a supervisory role when necessary.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications:
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Time-served apprenticeship preferred).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition.
• C&G 2391 or equivalent (Testing and Inspection).
• C&G 2919 (EV Charging).
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an electrician.
• Previous experience in a Qualified Supervisor (QS) role or as an Electrical Supervisor in commercial, domestic, or industrial settings (1 year preferred).
• Experience with domestic and commercial EV charge points (preferred but not essential).
Other Requirements:
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule efficiently.
