As a Electrical Supervisor at Your Retreats Limited, you will be responsible for all aspects of electrical work involved in the design, construction, and manufacturing of our premium lodges. You will lead electrical teams, install, maintain, fault-find, and inspect, test, and certify electrical systems to ensure full compliance with UK regulations.

You will install lighting, power outlets, and appliances, while also maintaining the manufacturing facility’s electrical infrastructure. Working closely with design and production teams, you will ensure electrical systems are seamlessly built into each lodge, fully tested, and signed off before handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate electricians and apprentices.
  • Plan daily workloads and production schedules.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot lodge and factory electrical systems.
  • Ensure all work meets current BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Carry out and oversee electrical inspection, testing, and certification, including:
    • Insulation resistance
    • Continuity
    • Earth fault loop impedance
    • RCD testing
    • Functional and load testing
  • Complete and sign off:
    • Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC)
    • Minor Works Certificates
    • EICRs (where required)
  • Maintain calibrated testing equipment and test records.
  • Enforce safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and production managers.
  • Train, mentor, and assess electricians.

Education & Core Qualifications

  • Electrical apprenticeship or vocational training.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3
  • AM2 Assessment
  • Ideally JIB Gold Card holder

Mandatory Electrical Testing Qualification
One of the following (or equivalent):

  • City & Guilds 2391-52 – Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection
  • City & Guilds 2391-50 / 2391-51
  • EAL Level 3 Award in Inspection & Testing
  • Logic / LCL Level 3 Inspection & Testing

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years as an electrician
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role (preferred)
