Electrician

 

Do you want to help the UK reach its electrical vehicle 2035 target? We are working with an electric vehicle charger specialist, and they are looking to expand their team with a qualified electrician.

 

As an Electrician, you will be supporting them with both domestic and commercial installations across the Peterborough area and further afield. If you want to help support a business who are at the forefront of change in the automotive industry and work with the most prominent domestic & commercial brands such as Tesla, Myenergi, Wallbox, Hypervolt, Rolec, Easee, and SyncEV to name a few, then this could be the job for you.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Workplace surveys to assess charge point viability and cable runs
  • Designing workplace charge point infrastructure (training provided)
  • Managing workplace charge point installations
  • Carrying out risk assessments for all installations
  • Verifying installer's inspection and testing results
  • On-site audits and post inspections of installations
  • Being available for any NICEIC / NAPIT audits and annual assessments etc
  • Being registered as the qualified supervisor for the company
  • Carry out works according to relevant standards
  • Compliant on health & safety requirements
  • Liaising with other EV Installers with an ability to work individually or as part of a team for both domestic & commercial installations

 

Person Specification

 

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (Time served apprenticeship ideally)
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent
  • C&G2919 EV Charging (preferred)
  • Experience in a QS role previously or experience carrying out the electrical supervisor's role in either a commercial, domestic, or industrial setting. We will consider Electricians without QS but who are working towards or want to work towards QS
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Electrical supervisors' role: 1 year (preferred)
  • Experience of EV charge points domestic and commercial (preferred but not essential)

 

Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits

 

  • £35,000 to £45,000
  • 40 hours a week
