Hunt & Taylor Electrical Services is looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team, focusing on both commercial and residential electrical installation and testing. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime available.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician with expertise in both residential and commercial electrical installation and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be capable of working on diverse projects. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively are essential.

Duties:

  • Install electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings, including all forms of containment and cabling.
  • Perform electrical testing and inspection to ensure compliance with regulations (2391 qualification essential).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Safely and effectively use own power tools and hand tools to complete electrical installations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure timely project completion.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Skills & Requirements:

  • ECS Gold Card and 2391 Inspection and Testing qualifications are essential.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to their own transport initially.
  • Must possess their own set of essential electrical hand tools and power tools.
  • A clean DBS check is required (we can assist the successful candidate in applying).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £37,800 per annum.
  • Company vehicle and fuel card will be provided to the successful applicant after probation period.
  • Monday to Friday working hours with the option for overtime when needed.
  • Full-time position.
