Excavator Operator

5T – 8T Excavator Operator – Hailsham

We are looking for an experienced 5T – 8T Excavator Operator to join our groundwork team on a site in Hailsham. The role will involve carrying out finishing works and general groundworks to a high standard, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating 5T – 8T excavators safely and efficiently on site
• Carrying out finishing works including grading, levelling and preparation works
• Assisting with general groundworks duties as required
• Carrying out lifting operations in line with site procedures
• Working safely around existing services and other trades
• Completing daily plant checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining plant cleanliness and carrying out basic maintenance

Requirements

• CPCS or NPORS (CSCS affiliated) Excavator Operator card
• Lifting Ops endorsement essential
• Previous experience in finishing works / groundworks
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Safety Critical Medical
• Experience operating additional plant
• 5+ years’ experience preferred
