Are you ready to take the next big step in your heating engineering career? We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Compliance Technician – Heating to become a key part of our team. This is your chance to use your technical expertise to shape service quality, drive best practice, and help us deliver safe, compliant, and efficient heating services across our homes.

In this pivotal role, you’ll combine hands-on work with the opportunity to act as a trusted technical mentor—helping engineers, solving complex issues, and ensuring our customers receive the very best service.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced heating engineer with a passion for quality and compliance, bringing skills in the servicing and maintenance of domestic heating systems, including:

  • Gas (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) (essential)
  • G3 unvented
  • Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
  • Solid fuel and oil systems (desirable)
  • Renewables (desirable)

You will act as a technical lead, providing support and guidance to engineers across the team, helping resolve complex technical issues, ensuring quality standards are met, and promoting best practice.  If you enjoy being the go‑to expert, solving problems, and guiding others—this is the role for you.

As our Lead Compliance Technician, you will:

  • Provide expert technical advice on heating compliance, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Support and mentor engineers, helping them tackle complex repairs and queries.
  • Deliver high-standard servicing and maintenance within tenants’ homes.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Assist with audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement across the service.

You are:

  • Highly experienced in domestic heating systems.
  • Confident in compliance, safety regulations, and best practice.
  • A team player and natural problem solver with great communication skills.
  • Fully gas-qualified, with additional solid fuel/oil/renewables accreditation desirable.

If you don’t already have ASHP/GSHP qualifications—don’t worry. We’ll support you with full training through Connexus.

You will also participate in our out of hours on-call rota, for which additional pay on top of base salary can be earned.

The role will be mainly based in Hereford, but there will be expectations to cover across the whole Housing Portfolio when required.
