Maintenance Electrician

JOB TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Engineer 

LOCATION: Waverley Market, Edinburgh 

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00 weekend working as required 

SALARY: £35,500 - £38,500 per annum

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support our facilities management services. This role involves daily interaction with clients, ensuring Health & Safety compliance, supervising third-party contractors, and performing both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple disciplines.

The successful candidate will not be limited to electrical work but will also assist with fabric, joinery, and plumbing tasks as required.

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance in line with contract requirements.
• Support minor project works and procurement needs.
• Supervise third-party resources and liaise with technical teams.
• Maintain and complete all company documentation and IT system updates accurately.
• Ensure company equipment is well-maintained and presentable.
• Communicate effectively with the Contract Manager and other team members.

Essential Skills & Experience

• C&G Level 3 Electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition certification.
• Experience in a maintenance role within a facilities management environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.

Desirable Skills

• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certification.
• IPAF/PASMA qualification.
