The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the business forward in the UK. You will be responsible for mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics. You will be the face of the brand therefore communication and the ability to build rapport with customers is essential.
You must have extensive mechanical knowledge and the ability to show tenacity when dealing with complex mechanical issues, always delivering solutions.
Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs on simple plant and machinery
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-hire inspections and comprehensive servicing on a variety of hire machinery to ensure they are in top condition for use.
- Complete warranty work efficiently and professionally, travelling to customer sites using the company’s fully equipped mobile workshop service vehicle.
- Conduct detailed inspections of returned hire machines, accurately documenting any damages and necessary repairs.
- Thoroughly clean, inspect, and prepare demonstration machines for presentation to the Sales Team, ensuring they meet all operational standards.
- Carry out detailed inspections of hire & loan machines upon their return to the depot, ensuring they are fully serviceable and ready for the next hire or loan.
- Provide high-quality service work on customer machinery, working with all makes and models to ensure up-to-date technical knowledge is applied in each task.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across simple plant and machinery, demonstrating problem-solving capabilities for complex technical challenges.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance in all tasks.
- Qualified Mechanic with relevant certification and extensive experience in mechanical repairs, servicing, and diagnostics.
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Demonstrated experience with a wide range of plant equipment and machinery.
- A passion for problem-solving with the tenacity to resolve difficult mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact professionally with customers.
- Experience working with mobile workshops and carrying out on-site repairs and diagnostics is an advantage.
- Full UK driving license with the ability to travel to customer locations as required.
