The principal role of the Fitter is to assemble market leading, niche and innovative mechanical products to ensure on time, on budget delivery to a standard of excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical products in accordance with drawings, specifications and build procedures
  • Use build sheets to ensure times and processes of build are adhered to making notes as required
  • -Raise Engineering Change Reports (ECRs) to refine and help improve product and processes
  • Make modifications in conjunction with the design team, during build to facilitate the customers' requirements
  • Proven track record in mechanical fitting and engineering assembly of bespoke products/equipment
  • Ability to assemble from drawings
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • Familiar with quality within projects ideally worked with ISO standards
  • Excellent problem solver, innovative and creative thinker
  • Self-motivated, self-starting and highly organised with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects of varying duration
  • Adaptable to change, resilient, with a dynamic approach and ability to challenge the norm
  • Understanding of Health and Safety at work
  • This role requires an element of manual dexterity.
  • Manual handling is required.
  • Working at height may be necessary

This is an onsite role based in our easily accessible premises on Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE19 1WH. There is free car parking onsite

  • Salary dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset
  • 37.5 hour working week, Friday finish at 1.30pm for production teams
