Monday to Friday

Full time, ongoing – Temporary to Permanent

Shifts available:

Days: 07:30 – 15:30

Backs: 13:00 – 23.30

Nights: 19:30 – 06:00

 £14.00 - 16.00 per hour with an extra £1 allowance per hour on back shift and £2 per hour on night shift.

 Temporary to Permanent (After 12 successful weeks)

ACS Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a MIG / TIG welders to join our client who works within a production environment, our client has over 50 years of manufacturing experience in fabricated metal products. Our client provides good to a variety of industries with the latest technology in the manufacturing. Our client continues to grow and invest in their staff with upskilling and the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects. The production welder positions will be working on a variety of components and working from engineering drawings, the majority of the welding will be on stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.

Responsibilities of a MIG/ TIG Welder:

• Set, operate and maintain the MIG and TIG Welder machines and related tools and equipment.
• MIG/Tig Welding
• Read and interpret engineering drawings in order to lay out projects.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure compliance with customers specifications.
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometres and calipers to inspect the parts as well as a variety of tools such as grinders, orbital sanders and saws.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot as and when required.
• Meeting Production deadlines
• Report any faults found to the Production Supervisors.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety legislation at all times.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals, who have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate with team members. You must be able to read engineering drawings and have previous experience within welding and working with sheet metal.
