Multi-Skilled Air Conditioning and HVAC Engineer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Multi-Skilled Air Conditioning and HVAC Engineer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.50 - £30.98 per hour

Summary:

An experienced Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer is required to deliver planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, reactive repairs and minor installation works across Camden corporate buildings, schools and public buildings. The role involves maintaining a range of commercial HVAC and ventilation systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation and accurate completion of maintenance records.

Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain and repair split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, DX systems, heat pumps, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC faults, including components such as compressors, fan motors, PCB controls, sensors and valves.
• Carry out refrigerant leak detection, recovery, pressure testing and evacuation in line with F-Gas requirements.
• Complete PPM and reactive maintenance within required targets.
• Carry out AHU inspections, filter/belt replacement, coil cleaning and condensate/drain maintenance.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

Essentials:

• Current F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Proven commercial HVAC experience, including split/multi-split/VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, FCUs and reactive fault-finding.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work on a van-mobile basis.
• Experience using CAFM/mobile systems to record maintenance activity accurately.
