The Role

Based in the welding department the Pipefitter / Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, preparing,

match-boring and setting up of pipework and other fabrications in preparation of being welded in

accordance with drawing and project specification.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

· Making sure that all relevant information and associated paperwork within the works

order is available prior to starting.

· Checking that material issued matches the requirements of the drawings and work

order information sheets.

· Check all consumables required have been issued to you correctly and are applicable

for the job.

· Prep items in preparation for fabrication build.

· Build complex structures in preparation for welding.

· Recording and completing paperwork associated with work packs.

· Demonstrating a high standard of Health and Safety and housekeeping.

· Carrying out any other miscellaneous tasks that you are suitably trained for.

· Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the appropriate line managers

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential/Required:

· Have excellent communication skills and

confidence in dealing with internal customers and

departments.

· Have a methodical and organised work ethic to

prioritise work, whilst setting and meeting

deadlines on a weekly basis.

· Have the ability to work both on their own and as

part of a team.

· Experience in a similar role within a heavy

fabrication industry.
