Production Operator - Wash plant- Backshift

We’re looking for friendly and reliable Production Operators to join our Wash Plant team on the backshift. This is your chance to play a key role in ensuring that our potatoes are washed and prepared to the highest quality standards, ready for the next stages of production.

Working hours for this backshift role are from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with a competitive pay starting at £12.71 per hour plus a 50p backshift allowance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating and monitoring wash plant machinery to ensure potatoes are cleaned effectively and efficiently.
• Communicating within a loud factory environment using walkie talkie system.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety to keep everyone safe and products top-notch.
• Performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on equipment to keep things running smoothly.
• Inspecting washed potatoes to maintain product quality before they move further along the production line.
• Recording important production information and reporting any issues to your supervisor promptly.
• Working closely with your teammates to keep the production flowing and support each other.
• Participating in training sessions to develop your skills and knowledge.

• Some experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a bonus, but not essential – we’re happy to train the right people!
• Great attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
• Good communication skills and a friendly attitude to work well within a team.
• Basic mechanical skills to help with equipment maintenance are helpful.
• Flexibility to work backshift hours and adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
• A positive, can-do approach and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
