Salary: £26,500 per annum plus a shift allowance, plus company benefits

Location: 8 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HQ

Contract: Permanent, full time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Monday through Friday 11:00am-7:00pm; with some flexibility on Fridays

You may work 8am-4pm during cover for annual leave or other absences.

Break details: 30-minutes lunch, unpaid

Work model: Fully onsite

Williams Lea seeks an experienced Reprographics Operator to join our team!

Purpose of this Role:

As a Reprographics Operator you will be responsible for delivering a first-class experience to our clients within the onsite Print Room. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of all tasks, delivered within the agreed service levels agreements. This is a hands-on role supporting the Senior Operator.

The ideal candidate is a confident self starter who is able to work on their own while also working well with a team as this role overlaps with the morning shift but will require you to work by yourself for a portion of your shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality documents to client specifications using high speed reprographic and finishing equipment
  • Ensure priorities are managed and deadlines are achieved
  • Book outbound couriers when required
  • Understand workflow processes and procedures, such as prioritising work tickets and completing production log detail accurately
  • Monitoring/replenishing consumables for printers, calibrating machines
  • Report any issues to Senior Operator
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by management
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with customers
  • Create and maintain highest levels of customer confidence by providing a flexible and responsive service, exceeding expectations where possible
  • Develop an understanding of the customer’s business and key service users to ensure that Williams Lea delivers a service in line with their objectives
  • Advise where appropriate on the best method of product and cost saving
  • Take ownership for problems and ensure customer feedback and complaints are dealt with efficiently, with support from senior colleagues and management
  • Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum, highlighting to the Senior Operator any issues that may impact production quality Ensure the Reprographics area is always kept clean and tidy
  • Ensure that Health and Safety policy is always adhered to
  • Ensure client’s IT policies are always adhered to and escalate and manage any IT issues Appropriate usage of internet and email

Key Competencies

  • Reprographics experience within a customer facing environment required
  • Excellent attention to detail is a key requirement
  • Good administration and written communication skills and conversant in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledgeable about routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment is preferable
  • Confident, with a professional, business-like manner
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining accuracy and delivering against timescales
  • Team player, supporting colleagues and aware of the aims and objectives of the business
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work alone or collaboratively daily as part of a wider team
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to deal with clients at all levels of seniority
  • Must take ownership for tasks and problems and personal development
  • To be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a friendly and open manner
