Systems Inspector

Location: Weymouth
Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm & Fridays 7:30am to 12:30pm

Pay: £34,000.00

This Role Will Include:

  • Maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring all activities comply with Health and Safety policies and requirements.
  • Performing First Offs, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspection according to customer drawings and specifications.
  • Preparing and conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to AS9102 standards.
  • Supporting all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 and all required company, customer, and regulatory rules and processes.
  • Participating in company Red Table/Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
  • Continuously improving the business by engaging in the company Kaizen process.
  • Ensuring proper training and skills are in place to carry out tasks under the Quality Management System (QMS).

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in creating and completing FAIRs to AS9102.
  • Indentured (preferable).
  • Proficiency in the use/programming of relevant equipment such as CMMs, Faro Arms, etc. (mandatory).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborative and able to work both as part of a team and independently when required.

Summary of Functions: To ensure that all products conform to customer drawings and specifications. Perform inspections using various measurement devices ranging from handheld equipment (micrometers and verniers) to CMMs, Faro Arms, Hommel, Keyence, etc. Complete First Article Reports to AS9102 standards. Assess and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and capability data, reacting accordingly.
