Based in Forres, you will be right in the heart of this fast-paced cutting-edge company, gaining a unique insight into what it takes to build a new launch vehicle for a buoyant commercial market.
The Position As the Treasury & AP Supervisor you will play an important role in our Finance team which include overseeing invoice management, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments, monitoring cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and implementing effective systems and processes. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will lead a team of 2 Accounts Payable Administrators and be responsible for their development. This role is based in Forres. Specific responsibilities include:
Preparing the monthly bank reconciliations at month end
Managing and preparing all bank administration including e.g. creating new users, security, dealing with queries both internally and from the Bank
Company credit card (Pleo) administration e.g. creating new users and queries
Treasury – monitoring the bank accounts to ensure that there are sufficient funds available for payments and payroll
Preparing payment runs for suppliers and posting payments in the ERP system
Supporting foreign currency purchases based on the supplier balances
Managing intercompany funding
Maintaining relationships with our bank, suppliers and colleagues
Processing supplier invoices and credits and answering supplier and colleagues’ queries
Processing intercompany recharges and occasional client invoices on ERP
As the AP Supervisor, you will have 2 direct reports and will be responsible for their development and overseeing their work. This will include supporting them with environmental reporting responsibilities.
Support the Financial Controller with the annual audit queries relating to AP and Bank transactions
Profile To be successful in this role you will most likely have:
AAT/ACCA part qualifications coupled with a good understanding of basic book-keeping entries
Proven experience in an Accounts Payable (Purchase Ledger) management or supervisory role
Proven Treasury experience
Proven people management experience, including coaching and development,
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate, clearly and concisely, across all levels of the organisation in a clear and professional manner,
Ability to influence key stakeholders across the business,
Methodical and organised approach to work
Able to effectively prioritise own workload and workload of the team to meet strict deadlines,
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Collaborative attitude, used to working as part of a team and cross functionally,
Good problem solver, with a high attention to detail.
Location – Forres Our roles need to be on-site in Scotland due to the nature of the position, export controls and security. This role is based in Forres at Orbex’s headquarters. Orbex Forres is located at the foot of the Scottish Highlands, near Inverness.
