3 Month contract With A Local Authority


Role Overview:
To carry out day-to-day carpentry works in both tenanted and void properties, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of workmanship



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general carpentry repairs, maintenance, and installations in residential properties.
  • Work within occupied (tenanted) and vacant (void) properties with minimal disruption.
  • Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Carry out first and second fix carpentry as required.
  • Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Complete job reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Respond to emergency or urgent repair requests when required.



Requirements
  • Proven experience as a carpenter in maintenance or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in social housing or similar environments (desirable).
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

  • 40 hours per Week
  • Bi-Weekly Payments
