About the Role
Are you passionate about using data to make a real difference? We are looking for a proactive and analytical District Heating Business Intelligence Officer to help shape the future of Nottingham’s district heating service.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in turning complex operational, customer, financial and technical data into clear insight that supports better decision-making, improved service delivery and more efficient use of energy across the district heat network. You will work with colleagues across Enviroenergy, Finance and wider stakeholder teams to identify trends, solve problems, improve billing accuracy, support debt reduction and help drive performance improvements across the service.
The role will suit someone who has excellent excel skills, enjoys working with data, systems and people - someone who can interrogate information, spot patterns, present findings clearly and translate analysis into practical recommendations. From customer usage trends and payment behaviour to plant performance, billing, reconciliation and network efficiency, your work will help inform decisions that directly affect residents, businesses and the wider city.
If you are comfortable working with large datasets, confident using tools such as Excel and data reporting systems, and motivated by the opportunity to support innovation, service improvement and the Council’s wider environmental ambitions, we would love to hear from you.
