Location: Inverness

Contract: Full time, permanent. 
Hours: 38.75 hours week. Core hours Monday - Friday 08.30 - 16.30

Your new role

What you'll do:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and testing, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist in general maintenance and or reactive tasks, involving plumbing and joinery work, as required.
  • Travel to other company sites to perform maintenance duties and ensure consistent maintenance standards across all locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs to enhance the reliability and longevity of equipment and systems.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

 

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Electrician with a focus on electrical work.
  • Certification to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, inspections, and testing.
  • Basic knowledge and skills in plumbing and joinery work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance calls outside regular working hours.
  • Experience in a similar maintenance role within an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Valid driver’s license.

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check
