Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

 

The Assistant Electrician will:

  • Be fully conversant with Company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policy and procedures and comply with them at all times
  • Ensure they have a full understanding of any task allocated, is aware of approved procedure to be followed and has received instruction on how the task should be completed
  • Immediately report to the Electrician any hazard encountered or observed
  • Assist the Electrician in the planning and implementation of the maintenance of the installation's equipment
  • Maintain the workplace in a clean and safe condition, to ensure personal protective equipment is properly used and properly cared for
  • Carry out tasks as part of a multi disciplined maintenance team as operational requirements dictate
  • Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.)
  • Perform other duties as required

 

 

Qualifications:

Basic

  • Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom without restriction
  • Willing and able to be away from home in excess of 21 days 
  • Possess a valid passport.
  • Possess a valid BOSIET certification
  • Possess a valid MIST certification
  • Possess a valid OGUK Medical Certificate

Preferred

 

  • Have completed a recognised apprenticeship and have a minimum of a City and Guilds Part 2 or HNC in electrical engineering or other appropriate qualification.
  • Previous offshore drilling experience
