The Position
We now have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Technical Lead (HVAC) to join our technical communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build (NNB) project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
Responsibilities Include:
- Technically overseeing the HPC (Hinkley Point C) HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning) with a focus on the handover phase, working closely with layout and system teams, the HVAC Main Contractor, and the client.
- Representing the HVAC contract team in meetings with the client and the HVAC Main Contractor.
- Providing regular updates on post-handover technical open points during bi-weekly meetings with the HVAC Main Contractor and the client.
- Keeping track of key deliverables from the HVAC Main Contractor, such as seismic calculation notes, HVAC release reports, and the HVAC database.
- Coordinating and assessing technical impacts of CCRs (Contractor Change Requests) to ensure smooth implementation.
- Managing modifications, tracking progress, setting performance indicators, and creating reports when required.
- Updating and maintaining the HVAC database, and issuing CTS (Change Transfer Sheets) to the client as per schedule.

For this position, we are seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical or engineering subject.
- Experience of working with HVAC systems, preferably from within a highly regulated industrial setting, or heavy industry.
- Additional expertise in one or more of the following: design, project management and coordination, document review and quality assurance, multidisciplinary coordination, commissioning and installation project phases.
- A flexible and open mindset to developing your professional skills - this role offers a great opportunity to grow into a Technical Lead position.
- Independent Right to Work in the UK is required due to UK Nuclear Security clearance eligibility.
