Purpose of the Role

To oversee and supervise a team of Fitters on a number of programmes of work to be completed across the South East region.

The Role

This is a permanent job role.

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.

You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.

Company van provided, with fuel card issued.

  • Accept delivery of Package plant at site from our Manufacturing facility, and be responsible for the site installation.
  • A working Supervisor, actively involved in installation operations as well as supervising a multi-discipline site installation team specifically to install packaged plant manufactured by Bridges, including Chemical Dosing & Water booster station packages.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety legislation and CDM15 regulations are adhered to by the site teams.
  • You are expected to lead and set an example throughout the business ensuring promotion and demonstration of our values in your dealings with peers, staff, customers and clients.
  • Co-ordinate and contribute to the success of the site installation operations of Chemical Dosing package plants, ensuring a culture of compliance, innovation and continuous improvement whilst maintaining our contracted output requirements.
  • Be responsible for compliance of the site teams at all times with Bridges Mechanical & Electrical Safety rules & Essential Safety Standards.
  • Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
  • Carry out pressure testing activities on installed pipework systems, sign off and keep records in line with Bridges Mechanical Safety Standards.

  • SSSTS / SMSTS (essential)
  • Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, site managing mechanical projects.
  • Experience within water / heavy industrial industries
  • Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
  • Fit to work medical (can be completed upon starting employment).

  • Thames water passport
  • Inspection and testing certification.
