About the role 

We have an opportunity in our small manufacturing unit based in Central Dorking. 

​The job description below details what you can expect to do, but above all we are looking for enthusiastic people, who are willing to learn and develop with Interpet.  You will be part of a small team working to manufacture pond and aquarium treatments for distribution to our customers. 

This is a manual role which involves some lifting and manual handling whilst also standing for long periods throughout the day. You will be working with chemicals on a daily basis and must be comfortable with following all Health & Safety procedures.  You must also be able to read written English and follow instructions accurately at all times.  

Location of Role - Dorking, Surrey 

Hours of Work - Monday to Friday  - 40 hours per week. 

Main Responsibilities: 

Picking, weighing and blending chemicals in accordance with written instructions and documented procedures

  • Liaising with quality team regarding SOPs, chemical testing/passing and finished liquid testing/passing as required 
  • Cleaning down of mixing vessels and mixing room to prevent cross contamination 
  • Completing liquid batch documentation including calculating component reconciliation and yield 
  • Daily scales calibration 
  • Maintaining accurate chemical batch records and documentation 
  • Safe use of forklift truck (after competition of forklift training) 
  • Providing cover on the production lines as required 
  • Manufacture liquids as required by the production plan and production rota 
  • Implementing spillage control procedures as necessary 
  • Participate in health and safety meetings 
  • Participating in quality audits
