Panel Wireman

Altera Recruitment Group is working with a well established engineering organisation operating within the industrial automation and electrical infrastructure sector. They are seeking a skilled Panel Wireman to support the build and assembly of high quality electrical control panels used across complex engineering projects. This is a hands on workshop based position, suited to a detail driven individual who takes pride in producing accurate, compliant and reliable panel builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble and wire electrical control panels in line with technical drawings, schematics and specifications

  • Prepare cables including cutting, stripping, crimping and terminating to a high standard

  • Install and mount electrical components such as relays, contactors, transformers, terminal blocks, PLCs and instrumentation

  • Carry out testing and inspection of completed panels to ensure quality, functionality and compliance

  • Identify and resolve wiring or assembly issues prior to final handover and delivery

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly within an industrial or controls environment

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics

  • Confident use of hand tools, crimping equipment and general electrical assembly tools

  • Good understanding of electrical components and installation best practice

  • A methodical, quality focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
